Due to the sharp drop in temperature and the surge in heating load, the electricity load in Guizhou province continued running at a high level. Despite two-round load reduction management for electrolytic aluminum enterprises in the province, the gap in electricity supply still exists, and hydropower energy storage is still decreasing rapidly. Therefore, the third-round load reduction was implemented.

On the basis of the previous two-round load reduction management, five electrolytic aluminum enterprises, including Guizhou Huaren New Material Co., Ltd. and Zunyi Aluminum Industry Co. Ltd., were subject to the third-round load reduction of 500,000 kilowatts.

The pot suspension and load reduction were started on January 5, and the implementation will be completed within five days.

Due to the third-round power restriction, electrolytic aluminum enterprises in Guizhou need to reduce production by about 300,000 tons again, and the total output reduction of the three power restrictions was about 940,000 tons.
