Because of several months of society lockdown caused by the coronavirus epidemic, the European market for stainless flat and tubes was suffering very low demand.

Take Italy and France for example, though the society lockdown policy ended, the stainless industry has not recovered and their distribution department has been financially weak due to the lack of invoicing.

It was understood that the shipping was more than new order volume. Holland, Poland and other central European countries were leading stainless product demand. Meanwhile, the market of re-rolled flat products was pretty inactive and sales of stainless tubes have declined by 40% compared to the figures before lockdowns.
