According to statistics from the European Steel Association (EUROFER), imports of hot-rolled coils from the EU fell by 15% in April month on month. Eurofer data also showed a significant 59% drop in shipments year on year.

Among them, Turkey's exports to Europe decreased by around 8,100 tons from last month, down by 59% year on year. Russia's hot-rolled exports decreased by 8% month on month.

At the same time, in April, the EU's monthly rebar imports reached the highest level in 2020, mainly due to the open access to the remaining EU safeguard quotas of "other countries" for Turkey, Russia, and Ukraine.
