Mexico launches first AD sunset review on Chinese cold-rolled steel plate

The Mexican Ministry of Economy launched the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review investigation against non-alloyed and boron-containing cold-rolled steel plates originating from China.

The period of investigation was from April 1st, 2019 to March 31st, 2020, and the damage analysis period was from April 1st, 2015 to March 31st, 2020. The products involved were under tariff codes 7209.16.01, 7209.17.01, 7225.50.02, and 7225.50.03.

Mexico made the final AD ruling on China's coled-rolled steel plate under tariff codes 7209.16.01 and 7209.17.01 on June 19th, 2015, and set an AD duty of 65.99%-103.41%.

Moreover, the country made the final ruling of anti-circumvention on China's cold-rolled plates on July 11th, 2016, and expanded the AD duty range to boron-alloyed cold-rolled plates, under tariff codes 7225.50.02 and 7225.50.03.
