An investigation from Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) Technical Secretariat of Anti-Dumping (TSAIP) for a variety of steel products was opened in October 2019. It includes flat products, long products, angles and pipes.

These days, TSAIP is planning to hold a public hearing on imposing safeguards for these products. They requested the members of the steel industry across the GCC region to provide a form at least seven working days before the hearing.

The steel industry in the GCC region has been affected quite a lot due to the decrease in oil prices and coronavirus concerns. A lot of public budgets and infrastructure have been stopped.
