German crude steel output rises in Jan-Apr

According to the data from the German Steel Federation (WV Stahl), German crude steel output totaled around 3.36 million tons in April, up by 31.5% compared to the same month a year ago. The output of pig iron was around 2.1 million tons, rising by 27.1% year on year; that of hot-rolled steel was roughly 3.0 million tons, hiking by 35% year on year.

In the first four months this year, German crude steel output had a year-on-year increase of 9% to 13.6 million tons, that of pig iron had a year-on-year hike of 8.2% to 8.6 million tons, and that of hot-rolled steel had a year-on-year growth of 11.3% to 12.2 million tons.
