According to Aluminium Deutschland, Germany’s raw aluminum production totaled around 774,000 tons in the third quarter, falling by 8%. The total output in the first three quarters was around 2.3 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11%.

In the January-September period, Germany’s primary aluminum output was 147,000 tons, falling by around 40% year on year.

Besides, the output of semi-finished aluminum products also slid by 8% year on year to around 607,000 tons. Output of extrusion was down by 17% and that of rolled products dropped by 6%.

The drop in Germany’s aluminum-related products might be because of continued uncertainty in the global economy, including supply chain disruptions and energy crisis, a decline in the market demand, as well as increased environmental protection requirements.
