The Ghana International Trade Commission (GITC) ruled that the imports of aluminum coils and circles from China were found dumped to the Ghanaian domestic market, resulting in injury to the domestic industry. Therefore, the GITC set a weighted average dumping margin of 35.77% on the subject products, under HS code 7606.91.10.00, involving aluminum plates, sheets, and strip, with a thickness more than 0.2mm.

The investigation was firstly launched based on the application filed by Aluworks, a Ghana-based aluminum producer, on May 8, 2019, which urged the GITC to investigate the dumping situation caused by China’s aluminum coils and circles imports.
