Global aluminum market has shortage of 655,000 tons in Jan-May

According to a report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global aluminum market has a shortage of 655,000 tons in the first five months of this year. During the period, global aluminum demand was 29.29 million tons, up by 10.34% compared to the same period a year ago.

In May, the global aluminum market consumption was around 6.06 million tons, and the aluminum output was roughly 5.8 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%.
