Global crude stainless steel output falls in Q1-Q3

According to preliminary statistics from the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF), global crude stainless steel output totaled 12.79 million tons in the third quarter of this year, which fell by 12.3% compared to the previous quarter.

In the first three quarters of this year, global crude stainless steel production dropped by 5.1% year on year to 41.85 million tons. Among them, China’s production slid by 5.2%, and output in Asia outside China and South Korea fell by 0.4% year on year. Besides, the US and European production also had a year-on-year decrease of 13.2% and 11.2%, respectively.
