Global primary aluminum output grows in Jul

According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), the global primary aluminum output totaled around 2.45 million tons in July, growing by 2.97% compared to the previous month and 0.63% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the output in Asia, excluding China, had a month-on-month increase of 1.78% and a year-on-year decrease of 7.8% to 343,000 tons.

In the first seven months of this year, the global primary aluminum output amounted to approximately 37.75 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 1.2%, and the output in Asia, excluding China, had a year-on-year reduction of 6.78% to nearly 2.4 million tons.
