Global primary aluminum production increases in Jan

According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global primary aluminum production amounted to 5.836 million tons in January this year, growing by 3.3% compared to the revised output in the same month a year earlier.
During the period, the estimated production of primary aluminum in China, the largest aluminum producer and consumer in the world, was 3.44 million tons, compared to the revised output of 3.48 million tons in the previous month.
