Global primary aluminum production totaled 6.033 million tons in April, a decrease from 6.237 million tons in the previous month and an increase from 5.901 million tons in the same month last year, according to the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) data.
In the month, the global daily average output of primary aluminum was 201,100 tons, falling from 201,200 tons in the previous month.
In China, the estimated primary aluminum production in April was 3.621 million tons, down from the 3.742 million tons in March. Production in other regions of Asia was 398,000 tons, falling from 415,000 tons in the previous month.
