The supply of hot-rolled coils in Europe is still under shortage, which caused domestic prices to rise continuously.

Market participants said that the price-up trend in the Italian market has slowed slightly, but not clear yet.

At present, the production quotas of European steel mills and abroad suppliers have been arranged for Q3 or Q4 delivery. Local buyers have also accepted price increases in order to replenish the inventory.

On the other hand, India has exhausted the EU import quota for Q2. Indian mills have been impacted by the worse COVID-19 epidemic, so the delivery may be delayed further.
