Hydro's Albras aluminum plant resumes full production at line 2

Hydro's part-owned Albras aluminum plant in Brazil has resumed full production by starting the line 2, which was suspended in February this year due to the power failure.

Because of the full shutdown of line 2, 25% of the primary aluminum production at this plant was impacted. Now the production line is operating at a full capacity of 460,000 tons per year.

The Albras aluminum plant is a joint venture between Hydro and Nippon Amazon Aluminium Co., Ltd. with 51% and 49% stakes, respectively.
