Norsk Hydro ASA is a Norwegian aluminum and renewable energy company. The company ships the Hydro Circal brand of recycled-content aluminum, which currently has a carbon footprint of 1.9 kilograms. That figure is lower than its previous result of 2.3 kg of CO2e per kg of Circal aluminum.

Circal was launched in 2019 and Hydro describes it as premium recycled aluminum. Circal is made from at least 75% recycled postconsumer waste and is currently produced and sold in the United States.

Hydro has a total of 30 recycling facilities in Europe, North America, and Brazil that consume aluminum scrap. Hydro constantly pushes the boundaries of low-carbon aluminum and reduces its carbon footprint.
