According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global primary aluminum production reached 5.508 million tons in September 2021, down by 3.2% compared to the previous month while up by 1.77% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, China’s production was estimated at 3.183 million tons, North America had an output of 304,000 tons, South America had 96,000 tons, Asia (excluding China) was 372,000 tons, Western and Central Europe’s output was 271,000 tons, Russia and Eastern Europe shared 340,000 tons, Oceania had 156,000 tons, and 487,000 tons in the Gulf Cooperation Council. The estimated unreported output was 167,000 tons.
