IAI: Global primary aluminum output drops m-o-m, hikes y-o-y in Apr

According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global primary aluminum output totaled 5.56 million tons in April, sliding by 3.2% compared to the previous month while hiking by 5.26% from the same month a year ago. Among them, the output from China had a month-on-month decrease of 3.21% and a year-on-year increase of 7.68% to roughly 3.22 million tons.

In the first four months of this year, global primary aluminum output amounted to roughly 22.22 million tons, down by 3.91% year on year. Among them, China’s output accounted for 12.87 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 6.9%.
