According to the market news, Flávio Penido, the president of the Brazilian Mining Association (IBRAM), said that the demand for iron ore in China was now facing a strong increase, and which might stimulate the mining industry in Brazil to resume very fast from the COVID-19 epidemic.

Although it seemed a great future for the mining industry in Brazil, Flávio Penido also warned the epidemic was still a very big threat for Brazil, and the government should put effort into preventing the expansion of COVID-19.

The goal for IBRAM was to lead the Brazilian total output of iron ore to reach 450 million tons/year in the next few years, and the current capacity was around 410 million tons/year.
