Inalum & EGA sign MoU production expansion cooperation

PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Inalum) and Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation of production capacity expansion on March 31, 2022 at the Dubai Expo in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.
Under the agreement, Inalum and EGA will conduct a feasibility study on the EGA technology used by Inalum's Kuala Tanjung aluminum smelter in North Sumatra. The technology will raise the smelter's annual production to 400,000 tons.
