On July 8, 2022, India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued an announcement, saying that the Ministry of Finance has decided not to accept its recommendation made on March 14, 2022, to impose a definitive anti-dumping (AD) duty on imports of aluminum foil of a thickness ranging 5.5 microns to 80 microns originating in or exported from China. Therefore, the AD measure was terminated.

An affirmative AD determination of this case was made on March 14 this year with a definitive AD duty rate of US$469-1,106/ton, involving products under HS code 7607.
