India initiates CVD investigation on aluminum primary foundry alloy ingots from Malaysia

The Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced on December 24, 2020 that it has launched a countervailing duty (CVD) investigation on aluminum primary foundry alloy ingots originating in or exported from Malaysia, based on the application jointly filed by Vedanta Limited and Bharat Aluminium Company Limited.

The products involved are classified under customs subheading 76012010.

The period of investigation is from April 2019 to September 2020 (18 months), and the injury investigation period is 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, and the CVD investigation period.
