The latest data released by the Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA) showed that the output of crude stainless steel in India in 2020 will be nearly one-fifth lower than in 2019.

At the same time, ISSDA stated that even India had completely ceased the output from April to June last year, it would still remain the world's second-largest stainless steel producer.

China is still the world's largest stainless steel producer, accounting for more than half of the world's total stainless steel production, according to the latest information released by ISSF.

However, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the stainless steel output in other regions in the world, such as Europe, the US, and Asia, declined in 2020.
