Italy’s crude steel production grows in Jul

According to statistics from the Italian steelmakers' association Federacciai, Italy’s crude steel production totaled around 1.8 million tons in July, rising by 9.2% compared to the same month a year ago.
During the period, the output of Italy’s flat steel products rose by 7.4% year on year to around 846,000 tons, and that of long products increased by 6.3% year on year to 960,000 tons.
In the first seven months of this year, Italy produced a total of around 13 million tons of crude steel, down by 4.8% year on year. Flat steel output dropped by 6.4% year on year to 5.8 million tons, and long products output fell by 4.3% year on year to 7.3 million tons.
