In Japan's domestic aluminum window frame market, local manufacturers dominated the market due to high market share and strict quality standards that create barriers for overseas manufacturers.

Japanese builders and contractors prefer local products for their superior construction quality and ease of maintenance. While imports of aluminum window frames have been stable at 50,000-60,000 tons annually, local production remains robust at 120,000 tons, with most imports coming from Japanese manufacturers’ factories in China or Thailand.

Overseas products struggle to compete due to Japan's diverse construction methods and stringent JIS standards. Japanese firms' extensive product range and expertise in construction quality, combined with high barriers for foreign entrants, help maintain their market position despite challenges.
