Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) announced that Japan has expanded the ban on exported goods which might strengthen Russia's industrial base.

The updated list includes steel and aluminum products, drones, testing equipment, photographic equipment, optical devices, boilers and machinery, aircraft and spacecraft, electrical equipment, and so on.

The measure will come into force on April 7.

Japan’s export ban was initially implemented on February 28. The country has introduced 18 packages of sanctions against Russia since its invasion of Ukraine.
