According to statistics released by Japan Aluminium Association (JAA), Japan’s shipments of aluminum rolled products totaled around 146,000 tons in February, growing by 2.2% compared to the same month a year ago, which was the first growth after 19 months.

The increase was due to the higher demand for aluminum products used in the automotive industry such as aluminum plates, which led to a hike in Japan’s aluminum market.
