Japan’s Nippon Steel raises stainless steel product prices for Jun

Nippon Steel, the largest steelmaker in Japan, decided to raise the prices for June orders of its stainless steel products, including angle bar, channel bar, flat bar, C shaped bar, and rolled H-beam, by an increase of 10%.

According to Nippon Steel, the decision was to stabilize the company’s operations and staff livelihood amid high prices of nickel and chromium, the main raw materials of stainless steel making, as well as the increasing production costs.
