On August 30, Japan’s Toyota Motor Corp. resumed production at most of its domestic automotive assembly plants, totaling 12 plants, after all 14 plants suspended production due to the system's failure on August 29. The remaining two plants were expected to resume operation in the evening on the same day.

Toyota said it hadn’t fixed the fault but started the temporary backup system. The company continues to investigate the cause of the failure and restates there is unlikely to be a cyberattack.
