JFE Steel, the second-largest steel manufacturer in Japan, raised its price of 400 series cold-rolled stainless steel by 10,000 yen/ton for October, under the consideration that the contract price of high-carbon ferrochrome had a quarter-on-quarter increase of 15% in the fourth quarter.

The upward adjustment in the 400 series price was the third time since April and August this year. The total increase during the April-October period was around 55,000 yen.
