Jindal Stainless prepared for CBAM, devoted to Scope 3 emissions

Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), the largest stainless steel manufacturer in India, said the company has been ready for the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and is working on its Scope 3 emissions.

Abhyuday Jindal, the Managing Director of JSL, said the company has got 100% ready no matter how CBAM works. It has invested in renewable power and is seeking hydrogen power production.

JSL has recently completed its expansion project of one million tons in Odisha, with a total capacity reaching 2.9 million tons per year. The company’s annual production was expected to grow by 20-25% this fiscal year.
