JSW Steel, a leading steel manufacturer in India, said last Friday (May 27) that it will merge its two subsidiaries, JSW Ispat Special Products Limited (JISPL) and Creixent Special Steels Limited (CSSL), to reach greater synergies and better efficiency.

The transaction was expected to be closed within the coming 12 months.

JISPL, formerly Monnet Ispat & Energy Limited (MIEL), was acquired by JSW Steel in 2018 through bankruptcy resolution proceedings. CSSL is JISPL’s holding company.
