LME aluminium benchmark price falls by US$22/t to US$2603/t; SHFE price slumps to US$2915/t

The previous trading day, LME aluminium opened at US$2,662 per tonne, reached a high of US$2,686.5 per tonne and a low of US$2,635 per tonne, and closed at US$2,662 per tonne, down US$2 per tonne, a decrease of 0.08 per cent.

On Tuesday, June 4, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price dropped by US$20.5 per tonne or 0.78 per cent and US$22 per tonne or 0.83 per cent to stand at US$2,602.50 per tonne and US$2,603 per tonne.

As per the LME data, both 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price slumped by US$26 per tonne or 0.97 per cent and US$27 per tonne or 1.01 per cent to clock at US$2,642 per tonne and US$2,643 per tonne.

December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price contracted by US$25 per tonne or 0.90 per cent to stand at US$2,738 per tonne and US$2,743 per tonne. LME aluminium opening stock came in at 1109900 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants settled at 590975 tonnes and 518925 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price hiked by US$16.93 per tonne or 0.63 per cent to peg at US$2,672.82 per tonne.
