LME aluminium benchmark price slumps to US$2363/t; SHFE price contracts by US$22/t

The previous trading day, LME aluminium opened at US$2,415.5 per tonne, reached a high of US$2,424 per tonne and a low of US$2,397 per tonne, and closed at US$2,405.5 per tonne, down US$10.5 per tonne, a decrease of 0.43 per cent.
On Wednesday, July 17, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price went down by US$5 per tonne or 0.21 per cent and US$14 per tonne or 0.58 per cent to settle at US$2,362.50 per tonne and US$2,363 per tonne.

As per the LME price graph, both 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price slumped by US$18 per tonne or 0.73 per cent to clock at US$2,418 per tonne and US$2,418.50 per tonne. December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price slipped by US$15 per tonne or 0.57 per cent to dock at US$2,577 per tonne and US$2,582 per tonne.

LME aluminium opening stock came in at 964350 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants stood at 406250 tonnes and 558100 tonnes. LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price contracted by US$43.77 per tonne or 1.78 per cent to arrive at US$2,408.14 per tonne.
