LME aluminium price closes the week with a fall of US$14/t; SHFE price grows to US$2677/t

The previous trading day, LME aluminium opened at US$2,279 per tonne, with a high of US$2,304 per tonne and a low of US$2,257 per tonne, and closed at US$2,263 per tonne, down US$10.5 per tonne, a decrease of 0.46 per cent.

On Friday, August 2, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price dropped by US$14 per tonne or 0.62 per cent to settle at US$2,214 per tonne and US$2,214.50 per tonne.

As per the LME price graph, 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price also slipped by US$14 per tonne or 0.61 per cent and US$14.5 per tonne or 0.63 per cent to halt at US$2,272 per tonne and US$2,272.50 per tonne.

December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price descended by US$10 per tonne or 0.40 per cent to peg at US$2,435 per tonne and US$2,440 per tonne. LME aluminium opening stock came in at 925625 tonnes.

Live warrants and Cancelled warrants stood at 358175 tonnes and 567450 tonnes. On the same day, LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price settled at US$2,294.93 per tonne, after witnessing a surge of US$91.43 per tonne or 4.14 per cent.
