The London Metal Exchange (LME) nickel price increased by US$49/ton and closed at US$17,541/ton on March 21. Meanwhile, the nickel spot price went up by US$47/ton to US$17,336/ton. At the same time, the nickel inventory at LME decreased by 114 tons to 77,640 tons.

As demand suppressed by previous high prices has been released, and the approval speed of Indonesian nickel mines has slowed down in recent days, coupled with the decline in LME nickel inventory, the price of nickel rebounded and subsequently increased.
