Metro Mining Limited, an Australia-based exploration and mining company, has resumed its bauxite mine production after the rainy season in northern Australia.

The firm aimed to produce 2.3 million wet tons of bauxite for supply in the near future after the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020. Besides, the firm’s operations were expected to stabilize this year, said Simon Finnis, CEO of Metro Mining.

Besides, the firm is also planning to expand its annual production to 6 million wet tons of bauxite in 2021, as well as progressing negotiations on the further spot and long-term agreements in the meantime.
