NALCO to put 1 million tons of alumina into Indian production in FY23-24

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), an Indian state-owned aluminum giant, reported that it has sold 91,000 tons of metals in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2022, compared to 71,000 tons in the same period a year ago.

During the period, NALCO's alumina sales reached 286,000 tons, and the firm aimed to sell 1.2 million tons of alumina this fiscal year, according to Sridhar Patra, CMD of NALCO.

Besides, 1 million tons alumina capacity was expected to be put into production by NALCO in the fiscal year 2023-24.
