Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Corp (NSSC), the largest stainless steel manufacturer in Japan, decided to hike its May prices of both carbon steel welded and seamless pipes by 15,000 yen/ton, an increase of 10%, applied in spot domestic sales.

This price adjustment was the first time hike since this February, which was due to higher production costs, including raw materials and logistics costs, and the tighter supply was also one of the reasons for the price adjustment.
