China’s aluminum scrap imports & exports rise in Mar

According to statistics, China’s aluminum scrap imports totaled around 114,000 tons in March, surging by 199.2% compared to the previous month and rising by 48.6% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the imports were mainly received by Guangdong and Zhejiang, accounting for 98.02% of the total. Malaysia and Hong Kong were the main sources, which accounted for 65.65% of the total.

In terms of exports, the volume reached approximately 720,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 101.6% and a year-on-year reduction of 29.4%.
