According to Nornickel, the 2021 metal output might not reach the original guidance as the flooding impact on Nornickel’s two mines wasn’t expected to be eliminated in the short term, although Nornickel previously believed that the problem can be solved within a few weeks.

Therefore, Nornickel lowered its metal production forecast for 2021, of which nickel and copper output guidance slid by 35,000 tons and 65,000 tons, respectively.
