China’s crude steel production hikes in Jan-Feb

According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS), China's crude steel production totaled nearly 175 million tons in the first two months this year, which went up by nearly 13% compared to the same period a year ago.

The monthly cruder steel production in the January-February period averaged 87.5 million tons, dropping by 4.1% from December 2020. The average daily production amounted to 2.97 million tons from January to February, an increase of 1% from December.

NBS combined the data from January to February to eliminate the effects of the Chinese New Year holiday.
