Norwegian aluminum producer Norsk Hydro completed the acquisition of Hueck on February 28 after receiving approval from competition authorities in Germany and Austria. This acquisition will strengthen Hydro's industry position in Germany and other European markets and is helpful for the company’s further development of extrusion and construction systems.

Germany has the largest market for building systems and aluminum extrusions in Europe. With the acquisition of Hueck, Hydro will have five extrusion plants, three recycling facilities, and 2,000 employees in Germany, including 200 experts in creating solutions for windows, doors, and facades for the building and construction industry.
