Nucor increases steel plate price by $40/short ton

US-based steelmaker Nucor Corporation raised the price of steel plates by US$40/short ton, effective immediately on new orders. The products with the price adjustment are normalized, as-rolled, quenched, and tempered steel plates.

The current ex-work base price is now increased to US$1,570/short ton, according to Nucor’s notice.

The company started to accept orders for June after the price announcement.
