Pakistan remakes final AD ruling on aluminum beverage cans from 3 countries

On December 30, 2021, the National Tariff Commission of Pakistan remade a final ruling of anti-dumping (AD) order on aluminum beverage cans originating in or exported from Jordan, Sri Lanka, and the UAE, deciding to impose definitive AD duties at the rates on C&F value on imports of aluminum beverage cans with a capacity of 250ml to 300 ml classified under HS codes 7612.9010 and 7612.9030.

The definitive AD duty rate on Jordan was set at 26.54%, that on Sri Lanka was at 23.24%, and the UAE will be subject to a rate of 22.06%. This measure will be valid until February 19, 2025.

The investigation period of dumping and material retardation was from September 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
