Peru's mineral output to decline by 5% in 2020

According to a prediction from Mr. Victor Gobitz, general manager of mining company Buenaventura, Peruvian copper production has not completely recover from the COVID-19 epidemic and suppose to resume after June.

However, it was almost 80% of large mining enterprises were affected to result in a 15% decrease in mining production this year which cost about a US$5 billion loss in revenue.

The government gradually released the restrictions to keep some operations for mining companies and expected to fully open by four phases before August.
