According to the data released by the Philippines Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), the Philippines’ nickel ore production had a year-on-year decrease of 28% to 102,310 tons in the first half of this year.

It was expected that the nickel ore production in Surigao and Dinagat Islands will rebound in the next few months due to good weather conditions for mining activities.
