Pipeline transportation halt at Norsk Hydro's Paragominas bauxite mine to affect Alunorte’s production

It was reported that the pipeline transportation at Norsk Hydro's Paragominas bauxite mine in Brazil was halted for extended maintenance on August 18, which will reduce Alunorte alumina refinery’s production.
According to Hydro, it was expected that 35-45% of Alunorte’s full alumina production capacity will be affected. This alumina refinery has an annual production capacity of 6.3 million tons.
