POSCO develops new stainless steel material- 430DP

South Korean steelmaker POSCO developed new stainless steel material, 430DP, based on the proprietary technology mastered by its Technical Research Laboratories.
Compared to the conventional stainless steel used in home appliances, POSCO’s 430DP has 50% higher strength and 20% less in products’ thickness, making manufacturers able to produce more products with the same weight, thereby saving costs.
POSCO planned to standardize the operating conditions of the related plants and start full production of the new stainless steel material.
