In considering the rise of raw material prices and currency, South Korean steelmaker POSCO decided to increase hot rolled prices by KRW 50,000/ton for September.

Meanwhile, POSCO and Hyundai will have big maintenance during September. Therefore, it is scheduled that the hot rolled supply volume will reduce in September. The market prices might be hiked for future shipments and orders. For the coming peak season of steel consumption, it may pay more attention to the price increase in a short period of time.
